A newer possible Smith Canal discovery. Viewed south from N 32.82482 W 109.83682. The original Smith canal study was short and obviously had strong historic construction characteristics. This newer possible extension appears prehistoric and suggests that the rework only applied to a very small portion of an otherwise longer early canal. Destination for the system remains unknown, but the Dump Canal would appear to lie in the credibility range. Nearest road access point: N 32.82505 W 109.83795.  Click to expand the image.
