Map showing our Mount Graham Arizona study areas.
Usually accessed via US Routes 70 or 191.

The Safford Basin portion of the upper Gila Valley lies
in Southeastern Arizona and is largely in the Upper Sonoroan
life zone.  Mount Graham lies to the south and has the highest elevation differental of any Arizona mountain when measured
from its base.   Mount Graham also has an unusually high
number of perennial streams, especially on its northeast
aspect. This seems unique to the American Southwest.
