Don Lancaster's
Magic Sinewave Java Explorer
This interactive demo lets you explore numerical tolerances
and null depths on a four pulse Steplock-16 Magic Sinewave.
Enter the pulse edge degrees and press Recalculate.
Repeated use in certain versions of NetScape may cause garbage
collection problems. Use NetScape 6 or Internet Exploder.
The demo shows that 64-bit math is recommended when doing
critical Magic Sinewave analysis.
The "Add 5th" button does one optimization pass on the
fifth decimal
point. Several passes are needed to gain a minimum. "Add 6th"
and
"Add 7th" provide finer resolution.
Not unexpectedly, adding a decade of resolution deepens the null
by
approximately one decade. A true zero appears unattainable in the
real world.
